Formula
Litres = miles ÷ imperial MPG × 4.54609. Fuel cost = litres × pence/litre ÷ 100.
What is included
The direct trip total includes fuel and the tolls you enter. Parking, maintenance, insurance, tyres and depreciation are not added automatically.
Use a current pump price
Fuel prices move over time. Enter the price you actually expect to pay rather than relying on a hard-coded national figure.
Worked example
At 180 miles, 45 MPG and 155p/litre, the fuel estimate is about 18.18 litres and £28.18 before tolls.
